With the advent and subsequent popularity of Disney’s adaptation of Sondheim’s 1986 hit musical, Into the Woods, comes a regional production by NEWorks Theatre of Orlando in the woods. Into the Woods tells the story of a baker and his wife, rendered childless by the curse of a once-beautiful witch, who venture into the forest in search of four ingredients to reverse the spell. During their journey, they meet the likes of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Jack – each on their own quest to fulfill a wish.
Licensed by Music Theatre International, NEWorks’ innovative outdoor production focuses on promoting the vast ecotourism opportunities that Florida’s nature parks has to offer while exploring what happens after everyone’s favorite fairytale characters get their wish.
